50 - Defining EHS Excellence: Best Practices from Campbell Award Winners (Room 371A-C)

Achieving and maintaining environmental, health, and safety (EHS) excellence is a process of continuous improvement, primarily due to the integration of EHS management into business operations. This session will describe how 16 Campbell Award-winning organizations have achieved success in protecting their workers, eliminating health hazards, improving the environment and conserving energy – all while improving business performance and increasing profitability. The major findings for best practices generally fall into five areas from the award application: ladership, integration, data management, alignment and corporate citizenship. This presentation will look at each of these five areas, providing specific examples from award winners. Organizations both large and small can find value in evaluating their own EHS management strategies against those considered “best in class.”
