Track Three (Operating in the Cyber Domain), Session 2: "Establishing the Network for the Multi-Domain Environment" (Room Lamar B/C)

The evolution of operational environment indicates that future operations will be significantly different than those of the past.  Today, US joint forces are being challenged across all domains.  The Army's current 12-year old communications construct was focused on sustained operations in a mature theater with a heavy reliance on fixed infrastructure that concealed significant training deficiencies.  Future expeditionary operations must incorporate flexible means to present multiple dilemmas to an enemy and create temporary windows of localized control to shape, deter, seize the initiative, dominate and stabilize. DoDIN Operations will span across all phases of this Multi-Domain Environment. As we transition, it will require Signal elements that are trained, equipped, organized, and postured for such rapid global deployment in response to the full spectrum of conflict.
