Telemetry Fundamentals and Methods
This session addresses the Range Commanders Council, IRIG106, Chapter 7 Telemetry Standard recently released in 2015 and enhanced in 2017. This standard provides an efficient method to multiplex both Periodic Time Division Sampled Data multiplexed with Asynchronous Packet Data. Chapter 7 is designed to support telemetering fixed position PCM measurements, Chapter 10 data types, iNet, Ethernet, and User defined packets. This session will explain the fundamentals of a Chapter 7 airborne system architecture and the fundamentals of a ground receiving system.
