Sustainability, Reduced Costs and Revitalization (Room Exhibit Hall, Showcase Room 1)

Commercial Advisors selected Trane HVAC, Controls and Energy Services to partner with on a 90-year-old abandoned warehouse redesign that revitalized both the building and the surrounding community. Working together they provided solutions to achieve greater efficiency, showcase sustainability, reduce operational costs, enhance comfort, and increase asset potential of the Crosstown Concourse community. Trane’s solution provided increased asset value and efficiency by reducing the number of chillers needed for the project from 5 to 3. This resulted in the developer realizing more than $250,000 in capital first cost savings, plus reduced life cycle costs of well over $1.3 million over the next 20 years. In addition, a 50% reduction in mechanical assets opened-up 3,500 sq. ft. of space that could generate additional revenue.
