This presentation will explore the future of the children’s products industry, where all areas of businesses are dependent on digital systems and the most successful companies have the most mature data platforms. The first part will introduce new technologies at an elementary level, including big data engines, machine learning, open information extraction, and blockchain. The second part will focus on practical applications of this technology in the areas of quality, sales, marketing, and product development. It will propose specific examples of how existing data + technology could tell us what to sell, where to sell, what product features to include, when a product defect may be present, when a product is affected by a regulatory change, and more. Attendees will leave with a high level understanding of new digital technologies available and ideas for how to apply this technology to operate more effectively and efficiently.
