In this session, attendees will learn the basics of the legislative and executive branches and how to interact with officials from both branches to best promote the interests of the fire services. Attendees will be briefed on the legislative process; how an idea becomes law; the committee process; the leadership within the General Assembly; and how to most effectively lobby your legislators.
