The presentation will take the attendees through various incident commander characteristics and responsibilities utilizing thoughts, practices and insights gathered from multiple sources and the many years of experience of the instructor. The instructor will discuss how to achieve the following: establishing a strong, direct, effective, and visible command early; providing structure and order on every fire/emergency incident; clearly communicate all intentions and actions; motivating, inspiring and orchestrating; and developing a solid fireground vision necessary to be a successful incident commander.
