This session explores the idea that young learners don’t need MORE apps, they need fewer, more powerful apps. So, what 4 or 5 apps (or app types) do PreK and Kindergarten students really need? (And more importantly, WHY?) Together we will consider the possibility that providing too many apps can be distracting and limiting rather than enabling, especially with young children. Perhaps a better plan is to target 4-5 apps for 4-5 year olds, 6-7 apps for 6-7 year olds and so forth. Choice is important, but perhaps too many choices limits the possibilities for young children.
