Tracks: Future of EdTech Educator

In this session, teachers and administrators will learn how to get edtech products in the classroom quicker and easier than ever before through first-hand accounts. Julie Ahern, a second-grade teacher at Andrew Cooke Middle School, will share how she has leveraged crowdfunding to provide her students with access to 6 different premium edtech subscriptions this year. She will be joined by Zac Leonard, the principal at The Academy of Environmental Science, as well as a representative from Nearpod, a leader in education innovation. The discussion will be moderated by Andyshea Saberioon, the Co-Founder and CEO at PledgeCents, the preferred crowdfunding platform to schools and districts in all 50 states. Topics and conversations will revolve around what to look for when taking advantage of free trials, strategies to increase teacher input when making purchasing decisions, and how to leverage community support to fund edtech for your students.
