Tablets, laptops, smartphones, interactive whiteboards, AR, VR … Classroom technology can feel overwhelming, and teachers report that both preservice and in-service professional development leave them unprepared for classroom management in the digital age. In this workshop, learn simple procedures and instructional strategies you can put in place to effectively manage any classroom with technology. This research-to-practice workshop will demonstrate how technology can be used to reinforce existing classroom procedures and routines. Learn how to set expectations for technology use that will minimize distractions and improve transition times. Effective digital management examples from the classroom will be shown from a variety of grades and subjects. You will have the opportunity to consider your own environment and brainstorm strategies that will work in your unique context.
