Why give mobile technology to elementary students and then tell them to sit down and learn? This workshop is all about getting up and moving while using technology to learn. Explore fun, interesting ways to use technologies that get students moving, improves fine motor development and fosters kinesthetic learning for dynamic results! Brain breaks and short bursts of movement/exercise are just the tip of the iceberg. T Learn by doing! By participating in AND creating scavenger hunts, relays, using augmented reality, and incorporating robots and drones, students can learn curriculum content while also gaining knowledge about and comfort with new technologies. Tools, ideas, strategies and structures for active learning with tech will be provided and discussion and sharing will be encouraged.
