Busy work or brain work? Do you find yourself wondering, "Does the technology I use in my classroom just keep my students busy or does it truly help my students to expand their literacy skills and strategies?" In this session we will explore methods for making sound instructional decisions with technology specifically geared toward literacy learning in the elementary classroom. If you are interested in collaborating with other educators to consider your beliefs about teaching, learning, and technology and to explore how those beliefs can positively impact instructional technology choices to expand student literacy learning...then this session is for you! Participants will walk away with examples and ideas for choosing technology resources that maximize literacy learning for all students.
