Modern learning needs modern learning spaces. As we look to craft curriculum and instruction to prepare our students for college and careers, it is essential that they have an opportunity to learn in spaces that support this mission. The tradition of desks in rows in a teacher-directed classroom is inhibiting our progress to address the needs of all students. But designing excellent learning spaces isn’t about decorating — it’s about having conversations about purpose and intentionality. Robert Dillon will discuss best practices based on previous district success and brain research. You’ll leave with a variety of hacks and ideas you can use to transform your district classrooms and set in motion new ways of learning in the classroom.
