Participants will learn from our experience of designing and implementing innovative learning spaces for active and collaborative learners! Panelist include Flagler County Schools' Executive Director of Instructional & Operational Innovation, Coordinator of Innovation, and a team of District Digital Support Specialists. During the discussion, we will take you on a virtual tour of over 20 unique learning spaces across Flagler County Public Schools. Together we will discuss why it is important to design active learning spaces within common areas and classrooms. We will talk about how to go about design and implementation, furniture options, professional development, budget issues, and funding options. It is also important to understand how students of all ages use these spaces in a meaningful way. In addition, participants will also get ideas on how to enhance a classroom by hacking furniture you already have.
