Current Capabilities and Moving Forward With Telemedicine Treatment (Room Islander D-E)

One of the nation’s largest workers’ compensation insurers and a respected occupational medicine provider will share their efforts for treating injured workers via Telemedicine’s existing capabilities. Melissa Burke will set the stage, explaining Travelers’ research findings on the state of available technology and service provider readiness as the insurer prepares to operationalize telemedicine care. Sang Manoharan will follow up, describing the findings from a pilot-program Kaiser On-The-Job launched in preparation for offering client insurers and employers telemedicine treatment services. He will provide a live presentation and briefly describe Kaiser Permanente’s experience applying telemedicine in the group health setting.
