The last decade of HR software was dominated by "moving to the cloud." The core HR functionality honed in on-premise solutions during the 80s and 90s was moved online. User Interfaces leaned on consumer tech to improve usability. Data which had been distributed was now stored centrally. Welcome to the third era of HR tech.
