Traditional wellness programs have focused primarily on improving biometric markers among participants. Yet while the industry has done great work to improve health, the vast majority of efforts have yielded low program-participation rates, questionable long-term gains and are costly to implement. Fortunately, health-promotion programs have begun to evolve and adapt a more holistic approach. Wellness Council of America’s Ryan Picarella will share a new model for conceptualizing the wellness programs of tomorrow and a framework for building strong organizational cultures that improve health and create conditions for employees to succeed.
