Soybean is a globally important crop for its nutritional and economic value for large and small scale farmers. One of the most widespread and aggressive diseases of soybean is Asian soybean rust. 2Blades has developed a pipeline of disease resistance genes from soybean relatives, that we are stacking in soybean to confer durable resistance against Asian soybean rust. In parallel we are sequencing the complex genome of the rust pathogen to ensure we are developing resistance against important virulence effectors.
