Tracks: Environmental & Sustainability

Our society is highly dependent on the electrical grid. It can be taken down by EMP (electromagnetic pulse), solar flares, or cyber or physical threats. The effects could last for years. It would mean no electricity, no 911, no phones, no cars, no internet – we would be back to an 1850s society without the skills our ancestors had. With the threats from state actors (e.g., North Korea, Iran, and terrorists), it’s important to understand what loss of the grid would mean to you, your family and your business.
