13 Apr 18
8:00 AM - 9:00 AM

Tracks: Roadway Safety

Every day, employees are faced with thousands of decisions. Some can have serious, even life-altering, consequences. In this session, we’ll examine an approach to strengthen individual and team decision-making around exposure and risk control. Every on-the-job decision is the result of several contributing factors: workplace culture, leadership style, training, systems, biases, and even worker fatigue and disposition. We’ll discuss how organizational cultural artifacts and engrained behaviors affect safe decision-making and frontline performance. This approach helps leadership teams define a path forward and position supervisors and managers to lead to succeed – with the ultimate goal of eliminating incidents.
