Sealcoating in the Field: Understanding Basics and Troubleshooting on the Job

Every sealcoating contractor at one time or another has faced a problem that was a puzzle or an issue he didn’t know how to handle – and usually that happens in the field! In this new session a veteran sealcoating contractor will help you solve, prevent and be prepared for potential sealcoating problems that can affect job quality and profitability. You’ll learn to recognize which surfaces are candidates for sealing and which are not, proper surface preparation that ensures long-lasting application, and you’ll get an overview of the advantages and disadvantages of various sealer application methods. You’ll learn the basics of modifying sealer mix designs and the benefits – and potential difficulties -- associated with altering the design. Along the way you’ll learn basic tips and on-the-job techniques that can help you improve just about every sealcoating job. You’ll take home insights that can help any new sealcoating contractor... and a great refresher class for veterans and crews.
