Forming productive vendor and distributor relationships depends on many factors including accountability, commitment, information sharing, and trust. Too many suppliers in a category can mean inefficiency, increased paperwork, and hard-to-manage assortments. Too few suppliers in a category can mean not enough choices for consumers and no options for special circumstances. This session will discuss the best ways to go beyond basic buyer/supplier relationships to develop true “win-win” partnerships.
