Repowering is an industry buzz word, and with good reason. It’s a great way to extend the life of existing assets and PTC incentives available to a facility at the same time. While the industry continues to generate excitement around the idea, we need to make sure we consider all aspects of completing a project of this nature. What challenges exist? What is the impact to our environment as a result of repowering? How do we supply the new components and dispose of removed components? These questions will be explored and ideas on how we can manage these challenges will be discussed.
