How Accountants and Auditors Can Help Their Procurement Colleagues (Room 208)

This session will look at some of the similarities and differences between the government accounting profession and the emergent public procurement profession. It will encourage AGA members to think about how they might help their procurement colleagues to do better ‘Make versus Buy’ analyses with a particular emphasis on understanding the full costs of contracting for services and especially identifying ‘avoidable’ costs.
