Direct Digital Manufacturing consists of 3D printing, micro-dispensing, pick and place, precision milling and laser heating for a complete hands free packaging process. The uniqueness of this, is all of the processes are on a single platform. For high volume production using this digital approach, the future is to connect several machines together and uses multiple nozzles in each machine. This has the advantage of shrinking the electronic package, making it water proof, making it custom fit or wrap and also flexible as needed.
