As individuals ascend the ranks, the vast majority of the job involves dealing with people, engaging in politics, and solving problems. Generally, most firefighters and officers do not get much training and education in these areas. However, like most aspects of the job, these are skills that can be learned and honed so that performance is improved. This session explores basic theories and concepts, and injects real world examples for discussion and exploration.
