Energy Storage Lessons from New York (Room 217D)

This panel will review the experiences of two utilities operating in New York. It will focus on the initiatives of National Grid relating to the installation of its first utility-owned energy storage system in 2018 at a distribution substation in upstate New York, as well as the lessons for energy storage from over a decade of NYC distributed generation project development, and how those lessons contributed to the business model that was selected by Con Edison.
