Understanding the Values and Behaviors of Residential Energy Consumers (Room 212AB)

This session will provide a comprehensive, up-to-date look at U.S. residential energy consumers and their attitudes, behaviors and values related to energy. The session will cover consumers’ awareness of smart energy, their interest in energy-related products & services (including rooftop solar, energy-efficient lighting and smart-home technology), their relationships with their energy providers and much more. Panelists will discuss the major findings from the latest iteration of the Smart Energy Consumer Collaborative's longitudinal “Consumer Pulse and Market Segmentation Study,” a nationally representative online survey of 2,500 consumers. In addition, panelists will provide examples of customer program successes from electricity providers.
