2017 INSS: Intelligence & National Security Summit

Bridging the Innovation-Intelligence Gap (Room Engagement Theater in Ballroom B/C)

Market forces outside the Federal Government (consumer, financial services, healthcare, etc.) often drive technology development that is also critical to intelligence operations. The Intelligence Community (IC) would benefit by accessing and, in some cases, influencing the development of that technology. The venture capital and entrepreneurial communities are incentivized to bring their products to the markets that drive investment and early adoption. This panel will address how the IC, the venture capital community, and start-up entrepreneurs can work together to better synchronize and accelerate adoption of emerging technologies in the Federal Government.
