GSMA represents the interests of mobile operators worldwide, uniting nearly 800 operators with almost 300 companies in the broader mobile ecosystem, including handset and device makers, software companies, equipment providers and internet companies, as well as organizations in adjacent industry sectors. The GSMA works on behalf of the mobile operator members around advocacy, organizing industry-leading events such as Mobile World Congress, and develops and deploys technology solutions on behalf of its membership base. One of these technology solutions is Mobile Connect - a mobile-based authentication solution that enables customers to create and manage a digital universal identity via a single log-in solution. As of February 2016, Mobile Connect is available to over 2 billion consumers globally. Within the US, GSMA, ATT, Verizon, T-Mobile and Sprint are engaged in a 2-year technology pilot to explore interoperability and how mobile operators can jointly address the current identity challenge in the US. This session will discuss GSMA's role with operators, the Mobile Connect solution and the latest pilot activities across verticals such as finance, consumer goods and healthcare
