Presenter: Dr. Richard Selden, President and CEO, NetBio, Inc., Profile: Richard Selden, MD, PhD is Executive Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of NetBio. He joined the Company in 2004 with a vision to move DNA analysis from sophisticated laboratories to the field, where it could have daily impact on forensic identification in military, law enforcement, and homeland security applications. He received his BA degree from Harvard College, MA and PhD degrees in Genetics from the Harvard Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, and MD from Harvard Medical School. He trained as a pediatrician at the Massachusetts General Hospital. Dr. Selden is an author on 35 scientific publications and an inventor on 37 US patents. Presentation Abstract: NetBio is dedicated to the development and commercialization of Rapid DNA products for human forensic identification, biothreat detection, and clinical diagnostics. The Company believes that moving DNA analysis from the laboratory to the field will dramatically improve societal safety and health. By reducing crime, exonerating the innocent, monitoring borders, and reuniting families, Rapid DNA Analysis represents a fundamental opportunity for public and private sectors to protect the innocent.
