The government continues its rampage throughout healthcare providers, looking for those outliers or aberrant coding patterns to target and intimidate. There is a need for every organization to have a comprehensive OIG compliance program complete with policies and procedures specific to that organization. During this session, Mr. Weiss will focus on the laws and regulatory requirements to ensure a “good-faith” effort is being demonstrated to comply with not only federal and state guidelines but also to ensure compliance with private payers. Attendees will walk away with a thorough understanding of the Self-Disclosure Law, Stark Law, Anti-Kickback Statue, The False Claims Act and the steps governmental agencies and their bounty hunters continue to focus on to weed-out fraud, waste and abuse.
