Track Two (Modernizing the Cyberspace & Electronic Warfare Workforce), Session Three: "U.S. Army Cyber School Training Pipeline & Training Environment" (Room Estes A)

Approved for 1 CompTIA CEU:  A+ and Network+

US Army Cyber School presenters discuss Cyber Common Technical Core (CCTC) and how this next generation of DoD Cyber Training will prepare Service members for the cyber threat better than any other course, past or present.

In addition, the US Army Cyber School will give a brief overview and a live demonstration of their bleeding edge training environment that was created completely out of commodity hardware and free and open-source software.  This training infrastructure is driven by the DevOps methodologies that Cyber Training demands and is projected to save the Cyber School millions of dollars over the next several years.

Components of this Virtual Training Area include OpenStack (Virtualization & Management), Ceph (Software-Defined Storage), SaltStack (Configuration Management), and Contrail (Network Function Virtualization).  Technical discussions of the inner-workings of each of these components will be covered.
