The seminar is aimed at individuals with emergency management preparedness responsibilities - including prevention, protection, mitigation, response and recovery. It will provide an overview of basic preparedness concepts, as well as strategies for improving workplace and community preparedness. We'll discuss how to: -Explain preparedness and how it enhances the capability to management emergencies - Identify key elements of approaches to preparedness for emergencices - including fires, chemical spills, natural or manmade disasters, terrorism, active shooter and civil unrest. -Describe the relationship between community preparedness and key emergency management functions and incident command structure.
