The Floor Measurement Committee works to update the ANSI-accredited BOMA floor measurement standards to address the specific measurement needs of varying types of occupancy including office, industrial, multi-unit residential, retail, mixed-use buildings, and gross area, and to incorporate the International Property Measurement Standards (IPMS) into the BOMA floor measurement standards. The committee also encourages adoption of the standards by owners and tenants, and it provides continuing guidance on the interpretation and application of the ANSI-accredited BOMA floor measurement standards.
