Pool builders, plasterers and service companies face unique challenges in northern climates. Winterization requirements and freeze thaw cycles create sustained periods of inactivity with little to no maintenance. The Winter Effects Task Force, a working group of the Northeast Spa and Pool Association (NESPA) in partnership with the National Plasterers Council (NPC) and the Association of Pool & Spa Professionals (APSP), was established to research phenomena related to these conditions. Currently, the Task Force is researching the formation of crystalline deposits that appear to occur at random on concrete pools with a variety of plaster finishes. During this interactive session, you’ll be able to share your experiences from the field as well as learn about the research process, find out the latest results and hear about the solutions the industry is working towards.
