Fair Labor Standards Act and Form I-9 Employment Verification (Room 318)

In this session, PAYCHEX will cover details regarding the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), such as who is covered under the Act; exempt vs. non-exempt employees; hours worked, minimum wage, and overtime; recordkeeping requirements and penalties for non-compliance.  Topics will also include when and how to complete Form I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification; employer's review and verification of acceptable documents; the process of updating and re-verification of the Form I-9; and the filing and storage of company's Forms I-9.
