CEU: Perimeter edge metal failure is the leading cause of low-slope roof failures, which is why code (IBC) now requires that all metal edge securement be tested per ANSI/SPRI ES-1. This course will review the importance of perimeter edge metal, what tests are required by code, how the tests are performed, and how contractors can satisfy code requirements when installing perimeter edge metal. This course will also cover other test methods and design elements that should be considered when designing, fabricating, and installing perimeter edge metal.
