This presentation will explain why ASTM 1289 compliant polyisocyanurate boards can develop large gaps at joints after installation, adding insulation over a reinforced concrete roof slab (e.g., reroof project) can compromise its hourly fire resistive rating, and why using “common” settings and techniques to heat weld heavyweight dark-colored walk pads to lightweight single ply membranes can lead to fracturing and leaks.
