30 Jun 16
10:30 AM - 11:45 AM

Tracks: Speaker

Jerry Seinfeld once observed that for many, public speaking is their number one fear, with their number two fear being death. This means that some people would rather die than speak in public. Matthew Grob was once terrified of public speaking. But through observation, practice, and some training, he transformed into someone who both enjoys and is good at public speaking and effective presentations, and has been consistently highly rated in conference surveys. At some point, most people will be asked to make a presentation. It may be a toast at a wedding, or a speech at a conference. In this entertaining, practical, and engaging session, Matt will review some of his tips and tricks to help you through those events, as well as share some amusing anecdotes about when things did not go quite right. The session will focus on both audience engagement, and effective use of audio-visual tools.
