Puzzles for Mensans and Non-Mensans

Each participant gets a printed handout with sample puzzles and puzzle solving tips and may borrow a pencil for interactive puzzle solving. There will be sample puzzles from four books – The Mensa Genius ABC Quiz Book, One Minute Brainteasers, Brain Warmer Uppers and Puzzles for Fifties Fans and Sixties Savorers. The first two books are official American Mensa puzzle books. Participants will try ten sample puzzles from each group. After a little time, Alan will ask for answers and provide hints when needed. Alan will then go over the puzzle solving tips and take questions. There will then be a brief contest for a free autographed book for each of three solvers of a verbal challenge puzzle.
