In this presentation I will briefly review the objections to intelligent design, claiming that it is not science, that it is concealed Biblical creationism, and that it should not be taught in public schools. I will then give a very brief history of intelligent design, indicating that the concept is not new, but has been around throughout recorded history. I will then briefly indicate why I am using “Being of God” in the title, rather than “Existence of God”; this is not critical to the presentation, but is more philosophically correct. I will then present a long list of distinguished scientists, including a few Nobel laureates, who have found arguments of intelligent design to be convincing, and are theists, at least in part, because of such arguments.
