Tech Talks in Outreach Pavilion Part 1: Leveraging NITAAC's CIO-SP3, CIO-SP3 Small Business and CIO-CS GWACs to Drive Efficiencies

This comprehensive, lively presentation provides an overview of the government procurement process and how Government-Wide Acquisition contracts can allow you to quickly and easily procure IT products, services and solutions in support of your agency mission. Featured will be the CIO-CS, CIO-SP3 and CIO-SP3 Small Business set-aside GWACs, which provide support for emerging technologies such as Cloud Computing, Data Center Consolidation, Mobility and Virtualization, and enable agencies to meet their socioeconomic goals. With the OMB's recent directives for agencies to use existing contracts rather than standing up their own, GWACs offer acquisition professionals a proven path forward.

Objectives/Outcomes: A key objective within every Federal agency is to responsibly procure goods and services at the best value possible, on behalf of the American taxpayer. Because GWACs enable faster, more cost-effective IT acquisitions, they enable Agencies to accomplish this goal.

This presentation will address the benefits of choosing GWACs, and the key acquisition policies and directives that support their use. Attendees will learn how to achieve more efficient and successful acquisitions by choosing GWACs, which offer access to well-known vendors, competitive pricing and labor rates, streamlined ordering processes, and more

With new directives from the Office of Management and Budget encouraging use of existing contract vehicles to leverage buying power and contain costs, GWACs offer acquisition professionals a proven path forward.
