A thermodynamic database for titanium-containing oxides systems was developed using advanced thermodynamic modeling techniques in conjunction with powerful Gibbs energy minimization FactSage software. Multiple oxidation states of titanium were considered to accurately describe the thermodynamic behavior of titanium oxides in multicomponent oxides systems. In this study, thermodynamic optimization results on the system CaO-MgO-Al2O3-SiO2-TiO2-Ti2O3 will be presented. In particular, the calculated accurate phase diagrams of the systems depending on the partial pressure of oxygen and temperature will be presented. Based on the new database coupled with the current FactSage database, the change in non-metallic inclusion chemistry depending on liquid metal composition will be calculated for Ti-bearing steels.
