An increase of production capacities by a growing demand was a focal point of plant operators for years. Now the emphasis has shifted. In the future, whoever wants to act competitively must increase production flexibility and has to focus on quality improvements, product optimization and premium products with high standards to set himself apart from the price pressure. Within this presentation, SMS group will give an introduction to possibilities of upgrading existing tube plants and implementing new performance modules. Finally, an overview of actual reference modernizations will be given.
