Blast Furnace Operating Improvements
No. 8 blast furnace of WISCO (3,800 m3) was put into production in 2009. Despite the difficulty that iron ores charged to the blast furnace continue to be lower in grade, a series of effective measures was taken, such as economic furnace burden, size classification charging, reasonable furnace operation, etc. As a result, the coal gas utilization rate has been up to 49.5%, the technical indexes for furnace operation continue to optimize, and ironmaking with high productivity and low cost using a large blast furnace is established.
