Ternium Mexico Churubusco gave PT an order to upgrade the runout table and strip cooling system in 2014. The main purposes of this project are to produce new materials (DP steel, API X70 steel grade and others), improve the CTC performance and reduce problems at ROT by applying AC motors. In order to minimize the shutdown duration, PT presented a modular design in which overhead tanks and top headers are pre-assembled before shutdown. The shutdown was successfully and safely completed on schedule on 20 November 2015.
