Development and Application of Burden Distribution Model on Bell-Less Top of Blast Furnace (Room 207A)

A mathematical model was developed to predict burden profile, which is difficult to monitor directly. The mechanism of charged burden distribution was analyzed, and operation data and experts' experience were also considered. Burden profile and variation of ore-to-coke ratio were calculated and displayed to guide the optimization of the blast furnace operation. The result shows that the model can predict burden profile and variation of ore-tocoke ratio effectively. It can also help to optimize the operation and guarantee a smooth and stable blast furnace performance.
