The backbone of this innovative software product is a model predictive controller for strip temperature. The controller is based on a physical model that covers all the important nonlinear effects of continuous strip annealing furnaces. Addition¬ally it maximizes the throughput and minimizes energy consumption.
Unlike similar products on the market that claim to have self-learning capabilities, the ANDRITZ Advanced Furnace Control is self-optimizing, which reacts accurately to sudden changes in the production situation.
ANDRITZ Advanced Furnace Control has been successfully implemented in plants in Europe and China on AHSS lines, revamps, and also competitor furnaces.
