EAGLE COKE™ is designed for the coke oven batteries to execute not only optimized energy balance, but also pollution accounting and high-end coke quality with integrated asset management and safety controls. The novelty of this work is the use of strong framework of data analytics, which is both the central repository of information and also takes care of all the data for the different functional control modules. The system platform is based on Industry 4.0, which includes cyber-physical systems, the Internet of Things and a cloud-enabled platform. The conceptual study of the proposed approach was carried out for different operating conditions at one of the SAIL plants in India.
